A NEW LOOK FOR OUR YOUNGEST CUSTOMERS

After a complete rebrand for Java, one of Kenya’s favourite coffee houses, it was time to focus on the all-important kid’s menu and merchandise.

Inspired by the vibrant, textured shapes present in traditional African design a visual language was developed that used the same repeated lines and colours to create a vast array of objects and images. The result is an endless reshuffling of the CI elements in a playful way to reimagine wild animals and landscapes like never before.

The animals would pop up in unexpected places like activity sheets, T-shirts and badges, bringing the menu design to life in ways that made the whole family want to return time and time again.
